Frequently Asked Questions

  • We have experience working in development studios and we know that an expert third party opinion can have immense value in the long term. Game development is a passionate line of work, but it’s also difficult. Persistently so. After months and months of working on a project, developers tend to become too wrapped up in the own vision and the team tends to turn into an echo chamber. Oftentimes creative directors shoulder all the responsibility and lose sight of the road to a successful launch. We will provide a different perspective and make sure the game is polished in every aspect.

  • Gaming industry is known to be an environment where publishers and developers clash. Usually because publishers are not as experienced in the gameplay/development part of the process and developers are not as well versed in the marketing part. As an intermediary force, we will communicate with both sides to reach necessary compromises. If required we can also evaluate the progress of the development, make suggestions on what to prioritize and what to improve. Our job is to protect your investment and make sure it yields results.

  • Being a solo developer is rough, it requires you to do everything, some of which is not usually the typical expertise of a developer. This is where we come in. We specialize in UI, typography, gameplay mechanics, balancing, graphic design and promotional materials. We can either fully design these elements for you or make suggestions based on your game.

  • Ideally you will send us a playable alpha of the game and we will play it again and again and prepare a lenghty document for you with a list of possible improvements, how to implement them, UI/UX suggestions, list of things to revamp, a launch strategy and possible promotional materials.

You can hire us one-time, or on a milestone or montly basis.

  • A list of UI/UX/Gameplay/Accessibility/Balance improvements. Branding suggestions including renaming concepts within the game, logo design (if necessary), promotional material design, capsule design, marketing suggestions, gameplay trailer (if requested), launch checklist, competitor research and PR suggestions.

We can also prepare a presskit and send it to our list of industry people including news outlets, streamers and youtubers.

We are not a typical QA department looking for bugfixes and we do not fix/analyse code.

  • We will be able to help you as soon as you have a playable version, but obviously the more you have for us to look at, the more feedback we’ll be able to provide. If a game is near launch, we’ll deliver more promotional materials and focus on easy things to fix and if the game is at an earlier stage we might focus more on UI and gameplay elements.

We can also provide post-launch support with patch suggestions, gather community data or even create a content timeline for live-service games.

  • We consult PC/Console games. We specialize in the following genres: RPG, ARPG, Roguelike, FPS, Strategy, MOBA, MMO, Adventure, Management, Survival and Platforming. Every genre is different, for ARPGs we might focus on itemization, endgame, build variety, economy and for adventure games we might focus on the narrative experience, pacing, environments and difficulty.

  • We’re happy if you do but no we don’t need to be credited. We’re also happy signing NDAs and we will not publish any work we do unless we have your consent.

  • Depends on the game and requirements, we will be able to give you a quote once we have a grasp of the scope of the game and the needs of the project. We can also work with a monthly fee if you prefer an ongoing consultancy or work on commissions from the game sales if you’re an indie developer without any funds.
